One of Troop 31's most consistent and meaningful service commitments is our work with the Dining Room Ministry — a feeding program that provides hot meals to people in need in the Rochester community.
Our Commitment
Scouts from Troop 31 regularly volunteer to help prepare and serve meals through the Dining Room Ministry. This service embodies the Scout Law's call to be helpful, kind, and friendly to all people.
Why This Matters
By showing up consistently to serve, Troop 31 Scouts learn the value of reliable commitment to something larger than themselves. They also develop empathy, humility, and genuine concern for their neighbors.
Getting Involved
All Scouts are encouraged to participate. Service hours earned count toward rank advancement requirements. Contact your Scoutmaster for the next scheduled volunteer date.
